  1.   Tracing the Legacy of the City– A trip to The Roman Baths…..

Immerse yourself in the beauty of Roman architecture at the city’s most iconic site, The Roman Baths. It is interesting to note that these are the only hot springs to be found in the whole of England. A UNESCO World Heritage site, it was dedicated to Goddess Suli Minerva and was utilized for bathing by the public until the end of the Roman rule in the city. Its main highlights include the Sacred Spring, the Roman Bath House, and the Roman temple. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to take a dip in the sacred waters, however, you can get a taste of the holy waters towards the end of the museum tour.

  1. Pamper yourself at The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa

Akin to its name, this iconic structure features the shape of a semi-elliptical crescent. The Royal Crescent comprises a Georgian museum, a hotel, and private housing. Situated along a lush green lawn, this attraction offers a wonderful view of Victoria Park. Constructed between 1767 and 1774, The Royal Crescent has also hosted notable people from various walks of life including the Town Clerk of Chester, famous singers, and politicians.

  1. Go Cruising Under the Historic Pulteney Bridge…

Nestled on River Avon, Pulteney Bridge is an architectural gem that accentuates the beauty of Bath. This bridge connects Bath and Bathwick and is surrounded by several shops and eateries on both sides of the bridge. Opt for a boat trip at River Avon to make the most of your experience. This bridge was constructed in 1774 by a neoclassical architect named Robert Adam. With a length of 45 meters, Pulteney Bridge features Palladian and Georgian styles of architecture. The horse-shoe-shaped weir is the main highlight of this bridge.

  1. Admire the beauty of Gothic architecture at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church…

A jewel of religious Gothic, this church has a long-standing history dating back to 1861. While the church underwent several renovations and demolitions, it now features elegant furnishings, stained glasswork, and metalwork whose credit can be attributed to the famous architect, Charles Francis Hansom.

Bath is a city where art, history, and culture converge seamlessly, making it a well-preserved time capsule of the 17th Century.  The spell-binding city offers a bevy of cultural experiences in the backdrop of a calming aesthetic, hence is a must-visit during your trip to the United Kingdom.
